Club Street |

Named after the old community clubs that have historically lined the street, Club Street is now known as one of the trendy spots to wine and dine.
With high standards of both bars and restaurants along the stretch, all housed in old shophouses, you can be sure you will have a quality night out here. Retaurants like IndoChine and Senso made the street’s name, while bars like Bar SaVanh and Barrio Chino make sure you finish your evening well.

IndoChine has been a leader in setting the standard in Singapore dining for a long time. Upstairs from Bar SáVanh, the IndoChine experience is dedicated to bringing a piece of the exotic mix of the Vietnamese and French Asian experience to Singapore. The food is definately Asian, but with a Western twist that you’ll be talking about long after you’ve left the building. The ambiance of the restaurant is carried by mixing the food with Bhuddist and Asian art, a theme that seems to pervade the entire IndoChine group of restaurants and bars. For something a bit different that doesn’t compromise on style, try IndoChine.

Bar SáVanh carries a surrelistic feel, built by the outstanding decor and subtle music. The first thing you’ll notice when entering the bar is its beautiful design. Seperated into two sections and linked by a wooden bridge over a carp pool fed by a three-floor waterfall, the bar has won countless awards. The walls are adorned with Bhuddist images and the seating is all on long opium den-style sofas that give you a feeling of luxury. Unlike other nightspots, the music is fed at a lower level, encouraging conversation, while the lighting will leave you with the feeling that you’d rather not leave until you absolutely have to!

In the traditions of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodisiac is the kind of place which works hard at creating an ambiance to seduce. Adorned with half-clad greek statues and luminous blue-topped tables, the bar serves up cocktails to titilate while you sit back in one of the plush leather sofas. The vision of Aphrodisiac is one of the deep blue sea – luminous blues mix with dark corners and scented jasmine incense. Aphrodisiac has also recently transformed itself into a dance club, filling a niche that Club Street had been missing for a long time. The bar is also connected with Bar SáVanh next door so you can move between the two.
