DANCE: The Legacy of Goh Choo San (In memory and tribute)
With staging by Janek Schergen, Goh Choo San’s legacy in dance and choreography is celebrated in this 20th anniversary tribute performance. In a symbolic reference to his contributions to the international dance arena, past recipients of the Choo San-Goh Awards will stage their tributes to this “master craftsman in dance”. Goh Choo San is the most famous choreographer to be produced by Singapore. He was awarded the Cultural Medallion in 1987, the highest cultural award in Singapore, as recognition of his choreographic talent and contributions.

SPORTS: Singapore Ironman 70.3
The first Ironman 70.3 Triathlon in Asia will see some 600 participants vie for the “Ironman” title. This gruelling race, expected to last up to 8.5 hours, covers a 2km swim, a 90km cycle and a 21km run. Seventy-five spots are up for grabs and the winners will go on to compete in the Ironman World Championship 70.3.

ART: Widayat Between Worlds
Widayat Between Worlds is a collaboration between Singapore Art Museum and Widayat Museum. As a modern Indonesian artist, Widayat, emerged out of a nationalist art academy in the immediate years following Indonesia’s independence. His paintings have been described as ‘magic-decorative’, the term referencing elements of fantasy and phantasmagory – myths, fantasy flora and fauna.

CULTURE: Mid-Autumn Festival
