MUSIC: Mozart & Da Ponte Festival
This concert celebrates Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s 250th birthday and brings together highlights of the three operas from two great geniuses – Mozart and his librettist Lorenzo Da Ponte. Plot and counterplot lie at the heart of Le Nozze di Figaro, Così fan tutte and Don Giovanni; together they represent a pinnacle and once you have got to know one, the others are impossible to resist. Sung in Italian with English and Chinese subtitles, this concert presents excerpts from the famous trilogy performed by an international cast accompanied by the Singapore Lyric Opera Orchestra and Singapore Lyric Opera Chorus.

FASHION: Singapore Fashion Festival 2006
In March, Singapore styles up with Asia’s most extravagant fashion event – The Singapore Fashion Festival 2006. Haute couture stands next to street wear. Big international names mingle with local stars. With close to 50 collections launching and many satellite events, you can look forward to an eye-opening preview to the season’s latest and trendiest styles. World-class fashion shows as well as exhibitions, fashion parties and designer salon shows will also be showcased.
