 Facilities

There is something for everyone at Changi Airport. Passengers are simply spoilt for choice with the ensemble of facilities and services available at Changi Airport, ranging from nature trails, fitness, entertainment and IT facilities.

Nature trail
Nature lovers can experience peace and tranquility at the landscape gardens in the Departure/Transit lounges of both Terminals 1 and 2. Travellers in Terminal 1 can visit the Cactus Garden, the first garden of its kind in an airport, which showcases more than 20 varieties of cacti native to the American and African regions. Travellers in Terminal 2 can unwind in the serenity of the Orchid Garden, which displays more than 15 species of colourful orchids.

Health and Fitness
Travellers who want to work out while in between flights can visit the rooftop swimming pool at Terminal 1. The swimming pool allows travellers to take a cool dip and sunbathe while waiting for their connecting flight. They can also relax in the sauna or work out in the well-equipped fitness centre located within the vicinity of the Transit Hotel.

Alternatively, travellers can choose to rejuvenate themselves with oxygen therapy, work out at the fitness area, get a head and shoulder massage or just freshen up with a shower at the Shower, Fitness Lifestyle Centre at Terminal 2.

Entertainment
Travellers hoping to watch some television programmes can do so at the thematic television lounges in the airport. Movie lovers can catch some action at the Movie Theatre in Terminal 2, while those interested in the Discovery Channel and National Geographic Channel can catch them at the Explorer's Lounge in Terminal 1. Travellers can also have fun competing against each other in popular PC network games, such as Diablo II and Counter-Strike at the Internet and LAN Gaming Centre at Terminal 1.

Free Singapore tour
For transit/transfer travellers with at least five hours to spare, they can join a free 2 hour sightseeing tour which will give them a glimpse of Singapore. The tour brings travellers to the city centre and the financial district of Singapore. Travellers can enjoy a nostalgic bumboat ride on the Singapore River, which was once a hive of activity and the life of Singapore's trading past.

The tour lasts for 2 hours and is available to all transit passengers stopping in Singapore. There are 5 tours every day, leaving at 10am, 1pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm every day. The booking counter opens at 8.30am and closes at 4.25pm daily.

IT facilities
Travellers can also surf the Internet or read their e-mails at the E-Hub, a one-stop electronic communications centre. To meet the information and technology needs of travellers, those carrying laptops and personal digital assistants (PDAs) can have wireless access to the Internet if they have a wireless local area network card.

Alternatively, they can also connect their laptop or PDA to the airport network using Ethernet cables and infrared connections. For those without laptops or PDAs, they can use the PC terminals provided in the E-Hub at Terminal 2 or the Internet and LAN Gaming Centre at Terminal 1 at a nominal charge.
