 Suggested Itinerary

There is so much to see in Hong Kong that’s its impossible to see everything in just two days. But if that’s all you’ve got, we’ve prepared this itinerary so you can experience the best of the city.

Day 1
AM: Shopping along Nathan Road and Granville Road. Visit Kowloon Park

Take a walk around the shopping streets starting from Nathan Road then down Granville Road and the other streets in the area lined with great shopping bargains. It’s here that you can get a tailor to make you up a suit for a lasting reminder of your trip to the city, or just browse the local and international brands that are available around. For a full list of shopping places to visit, check the Shopping section for Kowloon. When you’ve had enough of the crowds, take a break in Kowloon Park where you’ll find a bit of serenity amongst the madness of Hong Kong’s streets.

PM: Walking tour

A short walk down Nathan Road will see you arrive at the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade. This is the starting point of The Real Destination Hong Kong’s walking tour for this issue. On the walking tour you’ll see all the major sights of Hong Kong, starting on the Promenade, before winding its way via ferry, tram, street and then tram again all the way to the world-famous Victoria Peak for a night view that will end a great day in the city.

Day 2
AM: Repulse Bay, Ocean Park and Stanley Market

Get up early today and make your way to Ocean Park for a day of marine fun and thrilling rides on the south side of Hong Kong Island. Ocean Park is known as a great place for the family so you’re sure to have fun here. If you want something a little quieter, make your way to Repulse Bay for the relaxed beach atmosphere. Take a book and sit on the beach for a while before making your way to Stanley for the quaint market. It’s here that you’ll find all sorts of art and curios that will have your rummaging for quite some time. Stanley is also a great place to take lunch in one of the many restaurants or cafes along the waterfront.

PM: Night market shopping on Temple St and Ladies Market.

Whatever your shopping needs, Temple Street and the Ladies Market are sure to throw up something you’ll like. Cheap clothing, a bustling atmosphere and all sorts of other knick-knacks, souvenirs and trinkets will have you shopping for hours amongst the crowds. This is one night-time Hong Kong attraction that can’t be missed.
