Jatujak Weekend Market
Jatujak is famous all over the word for one reason – this place has everything.

From the famous Thai handicrafts to pink-coloured pet rabbits, you are sure to find it here. The market covers an unbelievable 35 acres and contains over 15,000 stalls to lose yourself in. It’s no surprise then that the market attracts over 200,000 people a weekend and that you’ll need to pick up a map from the office to find your way around. Either that, or you can just throw yourself head-long into it and explore for yourself.

There’s not much you can’t get here… the Market sections are divided up as follows:

- Books and collectibles (Sections 1 & 27).
- Miscellaneous and Décor objects (Section 2).
- Plant and Gardening tools (Sections 3 & 4).
- Clothing and Accessories (Sections 5, 6, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23).
- Home Utensils and Décor Objects (Sections 7, 22, 24, 25).
- Handicrafts (Section 8).
- Pets and accessories (Sections 9, 11, 13, 15)
- Furniture (Sections 17 & 19).
- Antiques (Section 26).

One word of warning – keep your valuables close at all times as pick-pockets are known to take advantage of the packed atmosphere.

There are also ATM machines available here if you haven’t brought enough cash for that special item you just have to have.

Damnoen Saduak Floating Markets
If you want to go and see all those beautiful floating markets your friends brought pictures back from Bangkok of, then the Damnoen Saduak Floating Markets is the place to go. You’ll need to get up early to see it though as it is 80km west of Bangkok, and the market is only open until noon each day. Once you’re there though you’ll love watching as hundreds of vendor boats congregate to sell their goods.
Getting there: the best way to see the floating markets is to arrange it with a tour company. For more details on tour companies, see Guided Tours .
